You may have seen my previous post about an interview I conducted with Professor John Caputo about my book God-like, and his thoughts around AI springing from his excellent Spectres of God – which bounces off Derrida.
As part of the same series, I was also thrilled to chat to Lord Tim Clement-Jones, a major lead on AI governance and regulation in the UK’s House of Lords.
A lawyer by trade, he is the Liberal Democrat spokesman for the digital economy and a former spokesman on the creative industries – so is perfectly placed to speak with great authority on this powerful new technology.
Tim’s book Living with the Algorithm: Servant or Master is a really excellent primer on responsible AI, which I highly recommend. He was also super nice about my book, which was very lovely to hear!
