Very much looking forward to being back at Greenbelt Festival this year. I’m giving a talk about the new book in the main talks venue on Friday morning at 11am, followed by a book-signing in the bookshop tent. Details here.

I’ll also be joining a panel on Sunday at 230pm to talk about AI futures, with a great bunch of co-pilots. Really looking forward to that – and many thanks to the William Templeton Foundation for putting these on.
I’ve a long history with Greenbelt. I first went in the early 80s with my youth group, and then returned in the 90s where Nic Hughes and I took Vaux and the alt-worship movement to the festival. My kids first fell in love with festivals there, and were there literally in cradles. Now, this year, my son’s band Play Dead are playing, and Nic’s son – my godson, and a dear friend of my son’s – is coming back to GB for the first time in ages to see them.
Nic died in 2012, and is still much missed. I’ve been kindly invited to speak about various books I’ve put out over the years, and it’ll be great to be back for the first time in a few years and camping amongst friends… and memories too.
