is a wonderful film which I can’t recommend highly enough. Dublin. A busker. A Czech pianist, selling roses on the street to scrape a living. Not a great deal else. Subtle, simple film-making hung around wonderful music.
This was first released here in Dublin a while ago and I missed it! I’ll have to wait for DVD release.
There really are some great buskers on Grafton Street (and some awful ones! – my favourite is the two goth teenagers, one singing vocals and the other playing bass.)
And it’s true about girls going down to the corner shop (at any time of the day) in their pyjamas. I saw two this morning.
