Malcolm just tagged me, and even though I’m not blogging I guess I ought to play the game 😉
So here’s five things you probably didn’t know about me:
1. I’m a third generation Maths teacher. My dad and granddad. It’s like the family business.
2. I used to be in a band called Caned and Able; we recorded with Massive Attack, supported some bands you may have heard of and were played by Gilles Peterson on the radio.
3. My great-grandfather was a famous Edinburgh preacher, ‘the golden voice of Scotland’. There was a 2 minute silence in the city when he died.
4. I was interviewed on Trevor MacDonald’s programme about my experiences teaching in Inner City schools, and admitted to once having been kicked in the balls.
5. I once skimmed a stone on Lake Windermere and knocked over a duck. I was devastated, waded in and righted it. It rolled over again.
So I now tag Nic, Gareth Higgins, Saga, Pete and Si
